I am Leanne Trabucco-Freda and I am doing this fundraiser to help my friend Patricia McGowan Moynihan. I am doing this fundraiser, because it is so hard to watch someone you care about struggling with every aspect of her life. Over the past four years, I have watched Patti's health deterioate more and more every year. It started back when her significant other of ten years, was diagnose with cancer. He was unable to work any longer, so his income from the state was very minimal. The bills still needed to be paid. She took a full time job in the mental health field to bring in a steady income, and gave up her own business of 30 year profession, as a Neuromuscular Therapist. She did the NMT job part time at night to try to make ends meet. She would leave the house at 7:30 am and return home at 11 pm, Even though she worked two jobs, it still was not enough. She had to take from her 401K every month to make the ends meet. Now 100K later she has no more 401k, Her significant other passed away almost two years ago, so she is a single income and because her health has continually gotten worse, to the point she needs several surgeries. She is unable to do Nueromuscular Therapy anymore, because of how much pain she is in. She misses multiple days of work and is not paid when she is out. She just had a lamenectamy on her neck in September. She will need lower back surgery in March and there is no more FMLA funds. She will have no income. Signing up for disability will take months, and she doesn't have that time because she is looking at foreclosure on her condo as of January 5th.
Patti has always been a very outgoing, social, giving, independent, and successful person, it took so much for her, to be able to go out to her 40th reunion last month. Since then she has spent many days in bed, not being able to work, get up to make food to eat, just move around or take a shower. I pray that my friend can get back to that healthy, independent person again, with the right medical attention and surgeries. It took a lot of convincing for her to allow me to put this fundraiser together for her. As you can imagine how stressful it is when you cant pay your bills.
I know that Christmas time is a difficult time of year to donate but please consider any amount to try to help a fellow friend, acquaintance, co-worker, relative, client, however you may know her, please consider to support her, she needs her home, she needs her car, and she needs to eat. She is truly experiencing a hardship, and that is why I put this fundraiser together.
