Our brother, Sandesh Ram affectionately known as Papa, died suddenly on March 4th of cardiac arrest at the age of 41.
We remember Papa as our vulnerable but ever cheerful brother, who worked all his life despite his disabilities, in the only job where he ever felt accepted: selling Mr. Softee ice cream. It was a seasonal job with unpredictable income, that allowed him a basic subsistence, but brought him years of enjoyment serving soft cones and smiles to kids and adults, alike.
In this difficult time, the family requests financial support to cover funeral arrangements, including transportation of his elderly parents from Florida to New York, and other related expenses as we cope with the tragedy of losing our loved one so suddenly.
