O Romeo, Romeo, wherefore art thou Romeo

Dear animal lovers, my name is Anella and i'm fundraising for my puppy, Romeo. He is 7 months and started his little life in constant pain due

to the previous owners, who allowed him to jump out of a window not once but twice and his children have bullied him and have delibtately caught his little legs in a door several times.

When I first met Romeo, in October 2024, he was so underweight, unloved and limping. When I asked the previous owners what had happened to him, they told me he had jumped from a van window and it was only a sprain. When I knelt down and looked into his beautiful eyes, I could see the pain in his little face, my heart broke and I offered to buy him from them. 3 weeks later they were happy to let him go.

I have been working with the RSPCA to get some financial help to have his legs X-rayed recently and was devastated to find out how bad his injuries are. Romeo has atleast 7 fractures on his left leg and many on his right leg. The vets have told me he will need his left leg amputed and his right leg to have a pin put in to stabilise him. To get Romeo fixed it will cost anything from £7,000 to £10,000. Of course I have insurance for him, but they will not cover him for old injuries.

I unfortunatley lost my recruitment business of 20 years during covid and have gone into the dog caring line of work. It will take me at least a couple of years to save this amount of money and I am desperatly trying to raise the funds to get him the help he needs.

Romeo will be on pain relief for the rest of his life, I am only allowed to walk him 10 minutes a day because of his injuries and never off lead!

This breaks my heart because he is so young and has the zest for life, which I am unable to give him currently.

If there is anyone who is able to donate, as small as it might be, I would be forever grateful to save my little boy. I would be happy to do any volunteering work to show my gratitude and to some how pay back what help has been given to Romeo.
