O2 Treehouse / m0xy Fire Aftermath Re-Tool
Donation protected
On August 9th a fire blazed through m0xy Studios in East Oakland, CA.
m0xy Industrial Arts
m0xy, an industrial arts incubator, houses over 35 artist work spaces. Several of these studios lost everything in the fire, including O2 Treehouse.
REMAINS OF THE O2 TREEHOUSE STUDIO
We are beyond grateful that no one was injured in the fire! But we have been left devastated by the loss not only of our physical working space, but namely of the tool and hardware collection that Dustin had been building since he started the company in 2006. This collection included everything from stationary woodworking tools to expensive welding equipment to power tools, hand tools and specialty treehouse installation rigging equipment. To replace everything that was lost would be over 100k. Our business and livelihood, as well as the livelihood of our workers and many of our peers has been put in very real danger by the fire.

We are reaching out to our greater community to ask for help. If you have enjoyed our structures and/or have an appreciation for what we do, please consider helping out in any way that you are able, whether it is a monetary or a tool donation. If you are able to support in any way during this time of crisis we will be eternally grateful. Seriously, ANY contribution is so greatly appreciated!!
For tool and hardware donations, or resource connections please get in touch with Dustin via text at (323) [phone redacted]. THANK YOU.
AND/OR if you are able to make a monetary donation of any amount here, THANK YOU.
We know that with a little help and support of our incredible community, we will bounce back from this and continue to do what we are passionate about -- creating a more sustainable future through innovative design, re-connection with nature and life in the trees!
