Hawthorne Community Center has served the westside of Indianapolis for 91 years. Our building is old. It needs to be renovated, and we need more space to serve young children, teens, senior citizens and our Center for Working Families -- and to be a resource for the community.
We've raised $3 million for a $3.5 million renovation and hope to start this summer. But we can't start until we have all the money raised. Right now our roof is leaking - badly. Please help us get the $200,000 we need to replace the roof!
When the gym is filled with buckets of water, we can't have basketball games, dance practice, talent shows or other events to keep kids productively occupied.
