Selena's Mammary Cancer Fund
Donation protected
Selena the Italian Greyhound was rescued from an Oklahoma puppy mill, where she spent the first 7 or 8 years of her life living blind and pregnant in a cage. I adopted her a year and half ago after meeting her and falling in love. After all the pain and neglect she endured, I had to make the rest of her life worth living.
Since then, I have spent upwards of $5000 on her various treatable, non-life-threatening issues. But after a $1200 surgery to remove some suspicious mammary tumors last week, she was diagnosed with Stage 2 ductal carcinoma (breast cancer). The most effective radiation therapy costs about $5000. I don't have the money and my "vet" credit card is maxed out, but time is of the essence.
Please help me give Selena the life she deserves. If the radiation is successful, she could have another 6 years of quality life left to share with my senior dog, her best friend, and my family and me. There will never be enough time to make up for her tragic early life, but we can give her the best shot we have!
I know there are so many worthy causes, but if Selena's story inspires you to donate, thank you in advance from the bottom of my heart.
