The Chance of a Lifetime:

Director Julia Alcantara has worked for more than 30 years cultivating the cultural landscape of Texas and has given selflessly to the city of Dallas. Her efforts as an artist & business woman have earned her a momentous opportunity to cross the Atlantic and present her first international production in the birthplace of flamenco this JUNE! The Seminario de Flamenca Malaga, is an international flamenco festival presenting some of Spain's greatest artists.

More than 20 students and professional artists will make the trip to participate in this historic event!!! The show “Memorias Flamencas” debuted in Oak Cliff Flamenco Festival in 2022 as The Grand Finale at the Majestic Theater. The Father of Flamenco Jazz, Flute/Sax player Jorge Pardo is the star of the show. Boasting prestigious awards, including the “Greatest Jazz Musician” by the French Academy of Jazz & the "National Prize for Current Music" from the Ministry and Culture in Spain and his first Latin Grammy for his work on Chick Corea’s Album Antidote.

This concert will prove to be an awe-inspiring evening of dazzling talent and stellar musical prowess. It is the first dance show ever choreographed to his music in his over 40-year career. Ida y Vuelta Flamenco has been invited to perform in Malaga, Spain for the Seminario de Flamenco 2023!!! This is a huge honor to be the first American Company to present there!

This important International exchange is a landmark in Flamenco History.
As you can imagine, the cost to prepare and transport the crew of 20 dancers, musicians and technical personnel is over $50,000. Plus we need funds left over to present our Fall residency in September and annual festival in October. Will you help us to get there? Some of our best artists need help with airfare and housing.

We don't want to miss the opportunity to collaborate in Spain with one of the greatest musicians in the world, as awarded by the French Academy of Jazz & Grammy Award-winning artist, right here in DFW! Help us welcome him to Texas Featuring: The Father of Flamenco Jazz : Jorge Pardo!!!

Our goal is to present "Memorias Flamencas” @ Auditorio Edgar Neville, Malaga, Spain with the some of Spain's greatest musicians Wednesday, June 28th 2023

"Memorias Flamencas" Is the crown jewel of the Fusion Series. Since 2016 we have been cross-promoting with various companies to expand the flamenco fan base in DFW. Each concert is an enlightening experience for the cast & audience alike. This show features 10 musicians and more than a dozen dancers choreographed to Jorge's unique music. Execute in October 2022, our artistic inspiration joins the ALL-STAR cast of guests from around the world for the first-ever dance concert choreographed to his unique music.
