Oakland man Steven dies a hero Christmas Day 2024

Hello I come to you with a heavy heart to share the tragic story of my beloved friend, family member & brother Steven Weatherford. Steven was not just a remarkable individual; he was a loving son, a joyful spirit who always brought laughter to those around him, and someone who dedicated his life to helping others.

On December 25, 2024 Steven made the ultimate sacrifice when he bravely risked his life to save his family from a devastating fire that engulfed their home. In an act of extraordinary courage, he ensured that everyone else made it out safely before he himself was caught in the flames. His selflessness and bravery exemplified the very best of humanity, and while we mourn his loss deeply, we also celebrate the incredible legacy he leaves behind.

Unfortunately, this tragedy has left Steven’s family not only grieving but also facing significant financial burdens due to funeral expenses and the loss of their home. They have lost everything they owned in this fire, and as they navigate through this difficult time, they need our support more than ever.
