On January 27th /2024 Jamie and Jesse Sternberg welcomed their little boy Oaklan into this world. While the moment was filled with joy and happiness of bringing their beautiful little boy into their lives it soon took a turn that no one had expected. Little Oaklan’s blood oxygen levels started dropping and the race was on to stabilize him. Only being a few hours old Oaklan Was then intubated, hooked up to heart monitors Inter-venous and then the testing began trying to figure out what was happening to a full-term baby. LWDH had run every test they needed and had figured out that little Mans Heart was having an issue so with the doctors working to their best ability and did an outstanding job Jamie and Jesse’s little bundle was then Transported to Winnipeg to the Children’s health science center where it was later determined That little Oaklan's heart was not formed as it should. So the family was then transported to Toronto Ont where oaklan under went open heart surgery the surgery was successful but his fight isn’t over yet as the little one now has a post op infection and will have to stay in Toronto for another 2 weeks before being transported back to Winnipeg for more medical related treatment.
Jamie and Jesse are needing our help to give them a peace of mind as we know being away from home due to any reason brings high costs that are unexpected and unplanned for.
So I have been asked to creat a gofund by their family members for who ever would like to donate any little bit will help this family get through the hardships that lay a head
