Oar Mighty Mates row the Atlantic for Dementia

Donation protected
Oar Mighty Mates are a team of two mates, Andy Purvis & Stuart Hatcher. We are so happy to share this moment between best buddies. We have always loved the outdoors and extreme activities. We are both excited and honoured to have the opportunity to fight this ultimate challenge together and raise money for charities.

ROWING FOR THREE AMAZING CHARITIES

Rowing for Dementia UK
Dementia UK is a specialist dementia nurse charity. Their nurses are known as Admiral Nurses, who are continually supported and developed by the charity, provide life changing care for families affected by all forms of dementia, including Alzheimer’s disease.
Rowing for Sporting Memories
For 10 years, Sporting Memories have been using the power of remembering and talking about sport, alongside physical exercise to tackle dementia, depression and loneliness. They are dedicated to bringing older adults together. Those who come to their online or community-based clubs may be isolated, or living with depression, dementia or other long-term conditions. They are fans, former players or family members with one thing in common: a love for sport.
Rowing for Bright Shadow
Bright Shadow’s mission is to enable people living with dementia, and those affected by it, to live well and to thrive. Established in 2009, they are experts in creative activities that are fun, meaningful, accessible and challenging through their community groups, meetups, training and workshops.
