O'Brien Family Support Fund

This fundraiser supports Jim, Jill and Aedan O’Brien.

Our goal is to relieve the heavy financial burden they are facing for uncovered medical expenses and monthly household bills while Jill is caring for Jim. Jim O'Brien suffered a hemorrhagic stroke and is still in the ICU at Northridge Hospital in California. Jill is by his side daily to offer comfort, be his medical advocate, and provide emotional support and care for him. Their son Aedan is home along with Jill's mother, Lucia, who also requires care.

It is impossible for Jill to work right now due to this tragedy. Your help with meals, housekeeping, and monthly expenses would provide tremendous relief to this loving family. No amount is too little but of course, we hope you can give generously. Just knowing that people are helping in any way is giving them tremendous comfort.

UPDATE 2-27-23: The initial fundraising goal was met and has helped immensely to take the initial burden off the O'Brien family for urgent out-of-pocket hospital and monthly expenses. Everyone's generosity is so greatly appreciated by the family. It is clear however that Jim's recovery and rehabilitation time is going to be costly due to the length of time that services will be needed for his rehabilitation. We are setting a new fundraising goal to help support these upcoming expenses. The community of support is an inspiration to the family.
