O.C.D. - A Dark Comedy Short Film
Donation protected
My name is Luca Pizzoleo, and I’m a passionate independent filmmaker based here in Los Angeles. After the success of our last short film, In the Valley of the Moon, we're excited to kick off our next project, entitled O.C.D.
"O.C.D." is a project that is deeply personal to us. Conor Patrick Walsh (our writer) and I have both personally faced its challenges and watched dear friends of ours do the same. This project aims to provide insight into the experiences of someone dealing with Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, all while presenting it through a humorous lens.
It's important to note that OCD isn't simply about being neat and orderly. It's a far more complex disorder that can lead individuals to feel controlled by their compulsions, often leading to thoughts of serious consequences if they resist.
Our story follows Owen, a neurotic delivery driver who battles his OCD at a local convenience store while his TikToker girlfriend plans an exposure therapy dinner date at home. But when she helps him resist his compulsion, it subsequently triggers the apocalypse.
Your generous contributions will play a pivotal role in bringing this vision to life. The funds raised, totaling $6,000, will be allocated thoughtfully to cover essential aspects of production. This includes equipment rental, crew, insurance, post-production expenses (coloring, sound mixing, etc.), and film festival submission fees.
Every contribution, regardless of its size, will have a tangible impact on the success of this project. As an expression of our gratitude, all donors will be acknowledged in the film's credits, and any donation over $500 will be credited as a producer in the credits as well as on IMDb.
We value your time and understand that not everyone may be in a position to donate, so even sharing our fundraiser is greatly appreciated. Let’s make this movie!
