O'Connor High School Theatre Banquet-Prom

-THE ASK-

We are raising funds to elevate this year's Theatre Banquet, which will reward them for an incredible season and replace the Prom the OConnor High School Seniors will miss due to the UIL State Competition.

-THE WHY-

The O'Connor High School Theatre program, located in San Antonio, TX, Troupe 5872, has experienced an incredible transformation over the last few years - from having multiple Texas State Thespian Officers (STOs) to reinvigorating interest in the arts by working with local community leaders to showing peer support by packing other high schools to view performances - our theatre program has been busy!

Recently, the program has competed in UIL and, for the first time, advanced repeatedly through Area, District, Bi-District, and Regionals. They will now go on to compete at State on May 18th, all while maintaining their daily lives and schoolwork.

While we are excited to attend State and perform alongside incredible talent, several cast members will miss out on their Senior Prom.

Parents attended the theatre board meeting last night to advocate for expanding the yearly theatre banquet into an event that will reward the program for its hard work and success this year and replace the senior prom they are missing due to state competition. Unfortunately, funds are tight as the budget is also working to replace much-needed lights for next year's program.

These funds will cover the event space rental costs, keep banquet fees low for the students, and elevate the event as a reward. We sincerely appreciate your support in helping us raise funds.
