Ocracoke contractors fund

My name is Dudley Wilson and I'm a building contractor in Asheville, NC.
Ocracoke Island, NC was devastated by Huricane Dorian last Friday morning (Sept. 6th). The event was very similar to a tsunami. At AM, after a night of the front half of the storm came through, limbs and a few trees were blown down. The calm eye of the hurricane was over the island for 30 minutes, then the back half of the storm started. Within 45 minutes, the water rose 7 feet, flowing through town. Newer beach homes, build 10 feet or more off the ground on posts were spared the brunt of the damage, however most of the homes on Ocracoke are one story homes only a few feet off the ground. Some homes were totally ruined, but many sustained structural damage. Of the approximately 800 houses on Ocracoke, close to 400 houses had their electrical meters pulled by inspectors due to damage. These houses will not have power restored until an electrician and inspector have signed off on the repair work.
I've contacted several friends who live on Ocracoke asking what is mostly needed. They told me that there are 10 - 15 full time builders/contractors living on Ocracoke, and when 2 – 5 feet of water entered their homes, all their electrical tools were ruined and most of them have no insurance on their tools as well as their homes. We are hoping to deliver new tools to these builders next week so they can get back to work putting the homes on Ocracoke back together and supporting their families.
I will purchase new tools and deliver them to the builders on Monday, October 16th.
Tools needed:
Shop vacs
Circular saws
Miter saws
Cordless drills
Cordless reciprocating saws
Compressors
Nail guns
Table saws
