Chiropractic Mission Trip to DR and Haiti

Greetings beautiful people! I would like to start off by sharing my gratitude for taking the time to visit my funding campaign which serves as a preparation for an amazing 8 day Chiropractic Mission Trip to Dominican Republic and Haiti!
Many of you may or may not know that I am a current Chiropractic student at Life University in Marietta, GA. It has enable me to learn my life's purpose, to serve and facilitate healing through Chiropractic. My time at Life University has been dedicated to studying the sacred anatomy of the human being, and mastering the ART and Philosophy of Chiropractic. This includes training for hours on my own and at seminars, personal development, and learning to care and address people on an individual needs and basis.

On September 28th, 2019 I will embark on an 8 day Chiropractic Service trip. I will spend the first four days adjusting the beautiful people of Santiago, Dominican Republic with students and Doctors from around the country. After a day of travel from DR to Ouanaminthe, Haiti, a smaller group will serve three days in various places such as: community centers, parks, orphanages and hospitals.
I am traveling with 22 dedicated Chiropractic students from Life University. This is a group who has put in tremendous amounts of training to advance skillfully, physically, and spiritually in preparation for service. Once we arrive in Santiago, we will take a day to settle in and meet up with the trip coordinator, Dr. Peter Morgan. Why Chiropractic? Chiropractic is the science, art and philosophy of clearing and connecting the humans nervous system. There are many factors in which the nervous system can be disconnected. It can span from a physical trauma to an emotional trauma such as stress. This disconnection is better known as a subluxation. Subluxations are minor misalignment of spinal bones (vertebra) that cause the nerves exiting the spinal cord to become impinged. When this occurs the brain is not able to communicate messages from the brain to the body and vice versa. These messages can be for heart rate, digestion or even breathing. The brain also allows us to interact with the world...how we feel, who we love and what motivates us. If there is an interference in the transmission of these messages someone will not be able to function at their highest potential, which can impact physical, mental, emotional and dare I say the spiritual well being. Chiropractic adjustments restore the brain - body connection to facilitate healing and improved nervous system communication. Our body has the upmost intelligence to heal itself and with a fully connected and cleared nervous system the body-brain can overcome what many consider the impossible.
Being under Chiropractic care has transformed my life. I have gained a lot of knowledge of my own body and well being, I have gained confidence, and most importantly I have learned to love who I am and express who I am. It has been reassuring that I have made the correct decision in pursuing Chiropractic. In my journey at Life University, I have found my life's purpose; to help people find the true potential within themselves by facilitating connection and clearance within their own nervous system through Chiropractic Care. By providing Chiropractic care through mission trips and future opportunities I strive to help people experience what I have experienced under Chiropractic care.

Why do I need your help? In order to make this trip a reality it is going to require money. My goal of $1,780 will cover the following expenses:
Flights: $720.00
Food and Hydration: $200.00
Ground Transportation: $60.00
Mission Trip and Lodging ( 8 days ): $ 799.00
Food and proper hydration is especially important given the conditions and volume of people we will serve.
