HEART TRANSPLANT FUND
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Odell Fox Jr. and I am 41 years young. I'm originally from South Carolina and have resided in the Atlanta area of Georgia since 2006.
In October 2009, I was diagnosed with acute cardiomyopathy, congestive heart failure with a 5% ejection fraction. At that time, it was determined that I was disabled and I began to receive Social Security Disability in 2010. Through determination, grace, and mercy, I slowly re-entered the workforce and was able to acquire gainful employment in 2011. Unfortunately, I did not reach 100% restoration as I had hoped for physically or financially. I've had many hospitalizations over the years. In 2014, I received two diagnoses that indicated a heart transplant is imperative:
(1) Stage 3 kidney disease and
(2) Benign tumor on my heart
The sole purpose of this time-sensitive fund is to ensure that all post-transplant medical maintenance prescription needs are met. This is a requirement and the amount has been stipulated by the Emory Heart Transplant Clinic. The monies must be in a fund before I will officially be put on the transplant list to receive the next available matching heart. This assures the hospital that the post-transplant medical maintenance needs will be covered (i.e. co-pays, deductibles, prescriptions, medical insurance premiums, etc.).
I am extremely fortunate that I am a "perfect candidate" to receive a heart transplant and I am looking forward to doing many of the things that I use to do (i.e. running, sports, working). My children are young (20 & 14), yet I hope to see the youngest graduate, get married, and have children of her own. I desire to live a long life with my wife, family, and friends. Please, help me obtain this second chance at life.
To each contributor, I sincerely thank you in advance. You are a blessing!
Odell
