Ofc. Walter Brown House Fire Fund
Donation protected
On December 4, 2016, a mere 21 days before Christmas, Jacksonville Sheriff's Office Officer Walter Brown's home was destroyed by an electrical fire that started in his kitchen.
Fortunately Ofc. Brown was at work and nobody was injured during the fire, however, the home and his possessions are likely to be a near total loss.
We anticipate that his expenses will extend well beyond his $2200 insurance deductible, to account for everything from renting a place to stay if needed, the immediate replacement of food, clothing and other necessities, and long-term residence while his home is rebuilt. We also anticipate that he will need to have access to cash resources much quicker than his deductible is paid. As a result the FOP 5-30 has started this fundraising campaign to assist him in this time of need,
All proceeds from this fundraising campaign will go directly to Ofc. Brown who has said that he appreciates the assistance of the FOP 5-30 and all of his Brothers and Sisters that have already offered to come to his aid.
