Ofelia's Funeral Expenses and Family Relief Fund
Donation protected
We are deeply saddened by the sudden loss of our dear friend, Ofelia Rousseva, who died on March 19, 2020 while she was visiting her family in Pittsburgh, PA, USA.
Ofelia was a beloved mother, wife, grandmother and sister. Originally from Sofia, Bulgaria, Ofelia is preceded by her late husband, Svetoslav and is survived by her son Ludmil, her daughter-in-law Carmen, her granddaughter Isabella, and her sisters Aneta and Ilonka.
Ofelia loved music and singing. A graduate of the Bulgarian State Music Academy, Ofelia was the founder and Music Director of ARFA Ladies Chamber Choir. Under her tenure, the organization won international competitions, made several recordings and participated in many international music festivals.
Ofelia enjoyed traveling to and exploring new places and she always found a way to connect with people, regardless of their native language. She will be greatly missed by all of us who had the opportunity to know her!
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a funeral service will not be held at this time. However, her family hopes to offer a memorial service as soon as it is safe for family and friends to gather. In the meantime, let's celebrate Ofelia's life by sharing our happy memories of this amazing lady! You are welcome to write a public or private message to Ofelia's family in the comment section of the donation window.
All donations will go directly to Ludmil, to help with funeral expenses, and to support his family in this challenging time.
