Officer Capri
Officer Capri loves police officers, and they love her! She comes from family with a long history of law enforcement and has always wanted to be a K9 officer. Unfortunately, medical conditions will prevent her from achieving those dreams.
When Capri was 8 years old, her family moved to the Phoenix area. It was early 2020 and COVID-19 had everything locked down. Schools were closed and everyone was quarantined. Capri was couped up in their house, unable to make new friends. As her birthday approached, all she wanted was one police officer to drive by her house with the red and blue lights flashing. That would remind her of the family she left behind. An Arizona Ranger saw the request posted by Capri’s mom on Facebook, pleading for one police officer to drive by on her birthday. With only two weeks to go, word spread fast throughout the LEO community. Gifts of hats, patches and stickers began streaming in.
On Capri’s birthday, police, fire, and medics began to stage in the neighborhood. In unison, the procession streamed by Capri’s house with lights and sirens blaring. The procession was two blocks long and even Fox News was there! Capri was so moved by the outpouring of love from the first responder community, she dedicated her life to appreciating them. Virtually every week she attends rallies, memorials, fundraisers, and other events. She brings officers lunch and constantly shows them love on social media.
Unfortunately, Capri got very sick shortly after her 8th birthday. She was diagnosed with a rare form of Muscular Dystrophy and will soon be confined to a wheelchair. Unexplainable swelling in her brain has put pressure on her optic nerves. Capri has lost the vision in her right eye, and doctors are in a race against time to save the vision in her other eye.
Despite these incredible setbacks, Capri has never stopped showing appreciation for first responders. She has the heart of a lion and has always stayed positive. One day her mom, Stephanie, was crying. Capri asked, “what’s wrong mom”? Her mom was sad that Capri might soon be blind and confined to a wheelchair. Capri relied, “it’s okay mom, we got this”.
In the fall of 2021, the Arizona Rangers purchased an official uniform, tailored specially for Capri. She was sworn in as an Honorary Ranger and received her badge. Since then, she has served on multiple select duties. She is issued a radio, given assignments, and has become a powerful ambassador for the Rangers. Her wheelchair is now outfitted with emergency lights and a siren.

Officer Capri has become loved and appreciated by multiple agencies across the nation. She has been there for them when they needed it the most. Now she needs a little help with mounting medical bills. Even the smallest donation would help a lot!
