Officer Hunter Farrell with medical expenses.
Donation protected
On the night of 06-15-22 Officer Hunter Farrell was off-duty and riding his motorcycle to go spend time with his girlfriend Kelsey. A deer jumped in front of him without warning resulting in him crashing. He was thrown from the motorcycle and injured. Thankfully his helmet and riding gear along with much divine intervention saved his life. Kelsey was traveling in a vehicle behind him and witnessed the crash. She was able to render aid until rescue personnel arrived. Hunter was transported to Maine Med in Portland. It was discovered he had broken a vertebrae in his neck. He is undergoing surgery to fuse the vertebrae to the one below it. Hunter recently started employment as a reserve officer with the Wiscasset Police Department and had completed 4 weeks of training. He was on track to start full time July 1st. Recovery will take him at least 6-8 weeks. Lost wages and medical bills are already accumulating and any help is greatly appreciated. Let's come together as a community and show this young officer and his family how we pull together when tragedy strikes. All funds donated will go directly to Hunter. This will allow him to focus on healing and returning to duty without the stress of mounting bills. Thank you all who donate. If you are not in a position to donate please share with everyone you know.
