Officer Ian Fraser Battles Lymphoma
Donation protected
I’m Steve Weinstein. I’ve had the honor and privilege of knowing and working with Officer Ian Fraser for over eight years. Officer Fraser is currently battling Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. He needs our help!
Officer Fraser has spent his entire adult life serving others. He began a career with the United States Air Force and did multiple tours overseas. After leaving the military, Officer Fraser continued to serve locally by joining the Albuquerque Police Department (APD).
He has now spent the last eight years helping the community as an officer within APD. As an officer, Officer Fraser is tasked with many duties, none of which he takes lightly. However, improving citizens quality of life is his passion.
Officer Fraser has received awards for his commitment to the community. More importantly to him though, are the individuals he’s helped along the way. For instance, a civilian recently called to report that she had been contacted for various reasons by Officer Fraser on multiple occasions. Due to his commitment to her well-being and success, she wished to report that she had been clean and sober for nearly a year, in large part due to Officer Fraser’s direct influence on her life.
This is just one small example of how Officer Fraser has helped his community over the years. However, it is now time for the community to help him!
As mentioned above, Officer Fraser is currently battling a dangerous B-Cell Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. He initially had a goal of cryogenically preserving his mustache, which competes with mustache royalty such as Tom Selleck and Ron Swanson. Unfortunately, the intense chemotherapy he’s currently on did not allow for him to meet his initial goal (for now)! We believe the mustache will soon enough grow back stronger and fuller! For now then, he has asked for help with his secondary needs. The bills are starting to come in, and he needs support from his family, friends, and community.
UPDATE:
Well, it's official. The overwhelming kindness and generosity from the community have exceeded any expectations I initially had. Thank you so much for your support of Officer Fraser! I am in regular communication with Officer Fraser, and he wishes to express his gratitude to all who have taken the time to donate to, or even share this campaign. We have both been blown away by the unexpected support from those who have participated.
The initial goal for the campaign was just $10,000, but I quickly realized that was too low. I raised the amount to $25,000 thinking that we would never get close. But, within just four days, that goal was also exceeded! So, I've raised the amount one more time to ensure that Officer Fraser is financially secure and able to tackle this beast of a disease with no worries about future medical or living expenses for the time being.
So I continue to ask, please consider donating to help him be able to pay for medical bills and everyday living expenses as he continues to battle through this extremely difficult time in his life!
