Officer Needs Help with Medical Expenses

Donation protected
I am putting together this fundraiser for my nephew, LCPD Officer Adrian De La Garza for medical and travel expenses related to an on-the-job shooting. On February 4, 2021 a suspect took the life of a New Mexico State Police Officer, Darian Jarrott. Adrian pursued the suspect down I-10 while his vehicle was being shot at. After Adrian performed a PIT maneuver, he confronted the suspect and was shot in the arm. The bullet entered his right bicep, his armpit and then exited his back.

Since the day of the tragedy, Adrian has struggled with nerve damage which causes his arm to feel like it is on fire. He has lost feeling in his right arm, fingers and the right side of his back. Adrian was unable to work for 2 years in order to focus on his recovery. During that time he received physical therapy, shoulder surgery, trigger point injections and nerve blocks. Despite all of that treatment, his condition is not improving. He is currently suffering from muscle atrophy due to nerve damage and losing strength in his hand and arm. He will be resuming physical therapy soon. His condition makes his job as a police officer a struggle. Adrian needs funds to cover the cost of medical expenses for stem cell treatments as well as travel expenses. Your support would be greatly appreciated.
