Officer William "Taylor" Webb and Family
Donation protected
On April 4th 2019, two officers were shot and a pregnant mother and her son were murdered by a gunman barricaded in their home. Police had been called to the home in the Eagles Ridge neighborhood of Stockbridge on what they thought was a medical situation involving a pregnant woman. When they arrived they said they could hear gunfire and saw a woman’s injured body in the garage. They said they took action to save additional victims and confront the gunman.
Officer Taylor Webb was shot twice when he entered, once in the chest and in the hip.
Since that day, Officer Webb has had the bullet in his chest removed; however, the one in his hip remains. Unfortunately, the workman's comp is saying that the bullet can stay, and Officer Webb can return to work, while his doctors remain adamant that the bullet must come out and that he can not return to work. Because of this, Officer Webb has used all the time he had and the time donated to him and recently got a check for only $44 for his pay.
Officer Webb's wife Carley has been working three jobs to try and cover expenses for utilities, groceries, etc. They have two adorable children, 6-year-old Amoura and 2-year-old Tristin.
Please come together as a community to help Officer Webb and his family while they navigate these difficult times.
