K9 Officer Joseph Crowder Memorial
Donation protected
It is with tremendous grief that we announce the passing of our brother and dear friend, K9 Officer Joseph Crowder. Joe died Monday night during an evening run. Joe was a 14-year veteran of the BBPD who proudly served our country as a staff sergeant in the U.S. Army. He became a member of the department's K9 Unit in 2012 and worked with his partner Daxxx, until the dog was forced to retire last December due to health reasons. Earlier this year, Joe became partners with K9 Iro, a 4-year-old Czech-Shepherd.
Joe was a truly kind, dedicated and courageous police officer. We will miss his beautiful smile and tender heart. We love you, Joe, and promise to keep watch over your family. Rest easy, brother.
Joe is survived by his two young sons, Jeremiah and Kaleb. We are establishing this memorial account to assist them in the future. Please keep Joe's entire family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
