Official Launch for The Kindred Village Center!

Tax deductible
Welcome to the launch of The Kindred Village Center!

KVC will be a family center in the Upper Valley region of VT and NH, enriching the parenthood experience through community connection and education.

During the pandemic, the world learned what so many parents of little ones had already felt and known: the painful effects of isolation. No matter the state of the world, these parents and caregivers especially depend on community connection and support.

In Maslow's five-tier Hierarchy of Needs... the human need for social connection is right above food, shelter and safety. Having connection and support can mean a great difference in mental health, emotional well-being, and the strength and resilience that allow us to be at our best for our children. The world shows us every day, children are more likely to thrive when the adults that they rely on are well supported and feel connected to community.

Here in Northern New England where towns are tiny and winters are 6 months long, many parents with little ones feel the overwhelming effects of isolation at a time in their lives when support, community, and connection are vital.

We've created a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization to support local parents and caregivers and we are now raising the money for a building to house our organization so that our community of families will have a place to come together and be the village we all need!

The mission of The Kindred Village Center is to bolster parent resiliency, combat isolation and help local families through the challenges of the early years of parenting in a rural area, by fostering social cohesion, sharing resources and providing parenting education so that we may connect, share, learn and thrive together.

KVC will provide:
indoor and outdoor play spaces
themed groups
free clothing swap
diaper bank
toy library
lending library
activities
workshops
classes

The quicker we can get a building, the sooner we can put our mission into action!
We cannot do this without you!

The Kindred Village Center is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization.
Contributions to The Kindred Village Center are tax-deductible.
Every dollar helps! Please donate any amount that you can because it takes a village!
We are hoping to meet or exceed our first goal by Giving Tuesday (11/30)!

Sincere thanks and gratitude,
The KVC Board of Trustees
and
