Ohana Haia and Laborte

Aloha mai kakou. O wau o Kameaaloha Laborte, he kama no Lele au. (Aloha everyone. My name is Kameaaloha Laborte, I am a child of Lele - the old name for Lahaina)

With the recent fire in my home town of Lahaina, like many others, my mom Liz and Aunty Rox along with my son and I have lost our homes. There has been an outpouring of love from our family and friends and their family and friends and we are so grateful.

For the immediate future, we are good. My brother Zach and his wahine Shaunte have graciously opened their home to us. But as the days go by, I start to think about the future for not only my son and I but also my mom and aunty.

Anything raised here will help with basic needs and plans for our future in Lahaina.
