Ohana house destroyed by Lahaina Wildfire

Aloha, my name is Elissa Brown. My grandma’s house was burnt to ashes along with everyone else’s in Lahaina town. My grandma, Anna Kaahanui Dizon, bought this house back in 1973. She was known to everyone as Mama. Back then, it was a 3 bedroom one-story, single family home. She worked so hard to provide for her 10 children and grandchildren. In 1993, my aunty & uncle, Liz & Gary Azbill, built a two-story addition after the loss of my cousin, Anna Kekuulani, that same year. This is the ohana house that we were all raised in and in a matter of minutes, it was left to ashes. We just lost Mama in 2022, and then most recently, Uncle Gary in January of this year. Aunty Liz, uncles Chris and Vance Dizon, and cousin Kamana Ng were still living there. Aunty Liz is still grieving Uncle Gary’s death as we all are, and now this. If you can kokua, we would greatly appreciate it. If you don’t feel comfortable using this platform, you can also venmo me @elissabrown808. Mahalo for all your thoughts, concerns, and prayers.
