Ohana. Remembering Theo Hill III.
Donation protected
Ohana: it isn’t blood that makes people “family.” It is the love and the bond that people share. Theodis (Theo) Hill, III had a big family. He always brightened the lives of others, seemed to extend love to everyone he met, and was always looking to do more for those around him. He made people laugh, and he worked hard for the things he needed and wanted. He faithfully provided regular childcare for his siblings while his stepmother—a single mom to 5 children in addition to him—worked full-time to support her family.
For these reasons and so many more, he was loved by his stepmother Amanda Dickes (herself a COVID-19 survivor) and his siblings with whom he lived Kurtis (17), Isaiah (15), Donavan (12), Joel (7), and Neriah (5 turning 6) and his beloved girlfriend, Dezzy. He was loved by his brothers Joshua and Tee, his nephews Quentin and Mekhi, and his cousins Chrystal, Cynthia, and Tori. He was adored by his mother and grandmother who went on to the next life before him. He was loved by the Batavia school sports community as a dedicated, supportive football and lacrosse coach and by so many others for the many caring roles he played.
Theo died on Saturday morning, December 12, 2020 at just 29 years old after a hard-fought battle with COVID-19. Our hearts are broken to have to say goodbye to such a kind, gentle, and giving soul, but we are grateful to have known him and been part of his life on this Earth.
Please consider giving to this fund to help Amanda pay for funeral and memorial costs for Theo, give his siblings a nice Christmas despite their great loss, and assist the family with some of their living expenses while they grieve and seek out additional childcare supports. Gifts of any size will be humbly and gratefully received. Thank you.
