Funeral Expenses For Kevin Tompkins
Donation protected
In the early hours of March 10th heaven gained another angel, Kevin Tompkins. He had just turned 47. I have known Kevin and his brother Chuck Tompkins for 29 years. Kevin was born with severe mental and physical diabilities but, that never stopped Kevin. He held a job with the Association for the Deaf, (he was always proud of the fact that he worked)hung out with the guys and even bragged of his dance moves. He lived with his mother until she died of cancer. He then moved into a group home but always longed to be independent.
With all of the obstacles he faced in his life, the one constant was his brother Chuck. Chuck was always there for him. When they were in High School he frequently brought Kevin along to the football games, dances and parties. Chuck always looked after his brother and when they lost their mother Chuck was all Kevin had. Chuck married and moved to the greater Pittsburgh area and he found a home nearby for Kevin.
On Sunday Chuck, Kevin, and Chuck's son Tad spent quality guy time together watching a movie and sharing a pizza. When Chuck brought Kevin home and embraced him before leaving, it would be the last time.
Kevin passed suddenly in his sleep in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
Kevin had no savings or life insurance. Chuck and his wife are both hard working people but have no savings for a crisis like this. I know it breaks Chucks heart to not be able to have a viewing or funeral for his beloved brother. He's having a graveside service but even that and the cost of the grave itself is an expense that he has no idea how he'll pay for.
Any help toward the cost of burial will gladly accepted.
Matthew 25:40 “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’
