The State of IL mandated a 15-day closure for all restaurants and bars due to the COVID-19 pandemic. At Old Irving Brewing, our salaried staff is in place to manage our food & beer carryout business, as allowed. Unfortunately, the rest of our hourly staff is out-of-work until this pandemic is under control and the mandate is lifted.
This obviously puts a serious strain on the financial livelihood of many of our staff who depend mainly on tips. These hard-working friends are the lifeblood of our business and we are searching for all possible ways to give them a boost during these times.
With that, Renee and I are setting up this GoFundMe page to collect funds to be distributed 100% to OIB’s hourly staff. Please help us raise some money by leaving a “tip”, of whatever amount you can give, to help some awesome people get through these tough times. The fund’s final total will be matched (up to $10k) but we are setting the goal a lot higher!
