To Kill a Mockingbird @Holyoke High
We are the Holyoke High School Drama Club, and we are doing a unique service project for our community.
TICKETS AVAILABLE TONIGHT AT THE DOOR
We hope to see you!
To Kill A Mockingbird is a classic story about social division and racial injustice in the times of Jim Crow, & seen through a child's eyes. It is one of the great courtroom dramas ever written. It has been part of Holyoke High School's 9th Grade curriculum for over 5 decades.
When we learned the National Players were bringing the story to the stage, we knew we needed to bring the show to Holyoke. They agreed, and on May 4th NP will be here for two performances. During school hours, every freshman will see the show at no charge. At 6:30 pm we will host a performance for our whole community at the affordable cost of $10 per ticket, $5 for Senior Citizens, students, and children.
Our project has four goals: 1) enrich our school's curriculum and support in-school theater arts 2) support the National Players, an amazing educational arts non-profit 3) provide a meaningful theater experience at reasonable cost to the residents of our City & 4) raise funds for our club so we can stage a great performance next year.
Any donation you can make will make a huge difference.
And we would love to see you at the show on May 4:
