Okanagan House Fire Loss
Donation protected
I have attached the Castanet link so people are aware this in fact happened.
I am raising money for my friend Ashley.
Ashley is a single momma with 6 littles (Patrick - age 8 months, Dane - age 2 , Dannycia - age 5 , Gracie and Marissa - age 8 and Rylie - age 11) Her oldest son Rylie is best friends with my son Dylan.
She lost her rental house today from a fire. Unfortunately, she does not have contents insurance. She was told today by the fire department that whatever belongings weren't destroyed by the flames, are extensively smoke damaged. Red Cross has given them what they can, but for only a couple of days. I'm hoping to raise some money for her so she has some comfort of knowing that she can buy things she needs for herself and wee ones. Ashley is staying with her mother at the moment, and with our rental market the way that it is, we're not confident she will be able to find a place she can afford any time soon. When/if she does find a place, she will need furniture, but I'm starting with one thing at a time.
Please help this momma. The loss she has experienced is unimaginable. Anything anyone can do to help is greatly appreciated.
If you're local to the Vernon area, and have extra clothes, toys, toiletries, etc, I am happy to arrange pick up of items.
With Halloween fast approaching, I am also hoping that we may be able to scrounge up some Halloween costumes for the littles.
