Donation protected
Some of our current and intended projects Winter season. We had to raise our target to cover some unexpected costs and an large increase in demand on our services. Great that people are now hearing we can help and we are committed to doing just that.
Okehampton Community Christmas; a 3 day community event 24 to 26 December.
Reverse Advent
Christmas food deliveries.
Bench buddies. We take hot drinks and food into the park to share with people alone. From new mums to elderly; we find so many people and it brightens their day. We pair up buddies with people if they'd like to meet up again.
We give out slow cookers in 3 sizes, herb & spice packs, recipe books and veg vouchers. This encourages healthy eating and saves on fuel costs. We provide freezer tubs so people can batch cook.
We provide emergency food support and basics to those poorly, bereaved, awaiting benefits, shielding, isolating or suffering poor physical or mental health.
We are providing 60 minimum hot dinners over Christmas.
We are sending out just over 300 packs now Christmas Eve and Christmas day containing treats and gifts.
We provide life skills packs to teens; bread baking, cake making and more recently Indian basic cookery.
Holiday Hotpot in the holidays for people to drop in for a free hot drink, soup and chat. This is free so nobody gets excluded and gets people from different backgrounds talking. People make friends, organise things and feel connected with those they wouldn't normally
