Oladipo Obembe's family needs your help!

Oladipo Obembe, "a dad, Nigerian, and agricultural economist" (as he writes on his Twitter page), unfortunately passed away after a drowning in July 2022. His wife, Margaret, and three young children need help given he was the only income earner due to visa issues. They need money for medical and housing expenses and bills, money for food for their children.

This is a tragic event in so many dimensions. Dipo, as he was known among friends, recently moved to Riverside, CA, in May of 2022 to start a two-year project as a Postdoctoral Scholar in the School of Public Policy at the University of California, Riverside. Prior to coming to California, Dr. Obembe was a Postdoctoral Scholar at Arkansas State University. He received his Ph.D. in agricultural economics from Kansas State University in 2019. He was a loving father, and husband, and sole income earner whose wife and children really need urgent financial help now.

The donations collected will allow his children and wife to worry less about the financial challenges associated with paying rent, bills, and supporting the family.
