Old Coyote Family

This go fund me is for Steve, Rita and the entire Old Coyote family. I was asked to start it by the family.

Those of you who know Steve and Rita, know them for all of the amazing things that they have done. They are advocates, Counselors, activists, leaders, parents, grandparents, aunt and uncle, mentors, teachers, they hold so much cultural knowledge and they have dedicated their lives to sharing it with all of us. They are also known for helping everyone and anyone in need.

The Old Coyote family is known for showing up and holding families up in their time of need and sorrow. Right now, it’s our turn to hold their family up as Steve prepares to move on to the next world. He is still here with us, surrounded by his family and has Rita by his side (as she always is ❤️) but his time left with us is short. Please respect the families privacy at this time and ask questions if you are unsure of anything. All proceeds from this Go Fund Me will help them with funeral preparation and costs. Rita is one strong woman. But she should not have to worry or stress about funding during this precious time that she has left with her husband.

Now that the family has had time to contact everyone and it is public, Rita wanted me to add that Steve passed away at 1:57 am. He was surrounded by his family and took his last breath during the AIM song ❤️
