Old Kilmadock Ogham Stone

Donation protected
The Old Kilmadock Stone has now been safely lifted from the ground and transported, along with all the recovered loose pieces, to the conservators in Edinburgh where they will be cleaned and allowed to dry out in a temperature controlled environment. The stone will then be assessed for the cost of conservation and reconstruction. This is expected to cost many thousands of pounds, a sum that ROOK, an entirely voluntary organisation, awaits with great trepidation.

Meanwhile the appeal will continue, raising funds for the Kilmadock Stone to be stabilised and eventually returned to its rightful place, the lovely and peaceful setting of Old Kilmadock.

ROOK-Rescuers of Old Kilmadock would like to thank everyone who has contributed to our appeal so far. Without your generosity lifting this important Pictish Cross Slab would not have happened.
Many, many thanks to you all.
