Old Lady Esper Needs Dental Work Done!

November 12th, 2023. It was a cool autumn evening after a long day at work, ripe for rest and relaxation. Little did I know, such things were not in store for me that night. A coworker and I stumbled upon the now-named Esper, a bite-sized stray tabby hiding under a car near our apartment complex.

Thinking fast, I grabbed her and took her inside. She was not happy to be manhandled and bit my right hand to let me know as much. We converted our bathroom into a safe house for her to adjust to her new home. I offered her a cat bed that she rejected (but ultimately accepted, it is now HER bed only), then went to the ER for some antibiotics.

However, this was where we first noticed a problem. Esper refused dry food. I suspected her teeth were bothering her and took her to the vet to have it confirmed. Not only did I learn she needed dental work done, but she was over ten years old! Which, as far as I was concerned, made her a now-permanent household member. (I originally thought she was a kitten because she was so small!)

While my brother and I are currently working paycheck-to-paycheck, any donations toward our goal of getting Esper a set of pain-free, clean teeth will be an enormous help.
