Oliver Antequera illness and hospitalization

Hello all. Oliver Antequera is a 48 year old clinical research medical director at Novartis and currently the sole provider for his family. He supports his extended family, his wife, and their two beautiful children (Julia and Alejandro). Julia is 10 and Alejandro is 8 years old

We are raising these funds to give 100% to his family during his prolonged medical care that came on suddenly.

Oliver is my wife's cousin's husband and one of the most genuine people I know.

Oliver is an American-Colombian physician who has worked very hard to make the American Dream. He is one of the most generous people I've ever met and continuously supports his extended family. If you know Oliver, you know that he would give the shirt off his back for you

On June 23, he developed fever-like symptoms right before an important work trip. Due to his infectious concern - he went to the Cleveland Clinic Emergency room and was found to be pantothenic along with influenza A.

During the first few days of Hospitalization - he was found to have AML (Acute Myeloblastic Leukemia). As he continued to get worked up, he was also found to have another rare complication of AML called HLH.

His coworkers and employers have been amazing and have helped us get the best care for his condition. A few of his colleagues have flown down to check in on him and help his wife with all the paperwork associated with being out of work. He is truly blessed foe this support.

Oliver is still not 100% himself - he has tried to leave the hospital a few times requiring his wife/family to stay with him so he doesn't fall or pull out his lines.

Oliver would never accept anything from anyone and he is the most generous person that most of us have ever met.

The money raised will go to his family's support during this difficult time. Based on his current situation, he is expected to incur a prolonged hospitalization stay requiring very toxic medications (chemotherapy) and blood products while he is immunocompromised.
