Olive's Neighborhood Garden - Jeff Park

Neighborspace is the fiscal agent for Olive's Neighborhood Garden granting us non-profit 501c3 status. Olive's Garden is an award winning garden supplying beautiful fresh produce for two local food banks on Chicago's northwest side. The garden is situated on the edge of the Kennedy expressway at the corner of W. Ainslie Ave. and N. Laramie St. in the Jefferson Park neighborhood.

In addition to growing vegetables of all kinds, bees supply wonderful fresh honey. Recently a program was started with Beaubien Elementary School, teaching the future gardeners of America all about growing their own food.

A small food pantry and library also sit on the edge of the garden. In 2024, a new piece of land nearby was granted and cleanup is underway to create a small park for our neighbors.

Donations are always welcome and used wisely for seeds, plants, supplies and improvements. This year we are hoping to add a windmill to the garden.
