About Olivia and the New Album
I'm an Irish singer/step dancer, and bodhran (Irish drum) player based out of Atlanta, Georgia. I'm also currently a member of the Celtic Angels, touring the country as part of their Christmas and Spring national tours.

As an American with Irish and Scottish heritage, I've always loved Celtic music and culture. After seeing television performances of Riverdance, I asked to be signed up for Irish dance lessons at a young age. Growing up in Atlanta, I was exposed to the broader world of Irish language and traditional music through organizations such as Irish Traditions Atlanta, and events such as Atlanta's Celtic Christmas and IrishFest Atlanta. I was also privileged to be both a student and intern of Lisa Kelly, a founding member of Celtic Woman.

While music is my first love, I was also captivated by the poetic beauty of the Irish and Scottish Gaelic languages, the history of the Irish people in overcoming persecution and adversity, as well as the natural beauty of the Irish countryside. I experienced this first-hand while competing at the Fleadh Cheoil na hEireann in Sligo, Ireland in 2015. There's something so ethereal and magical about Ireland, and songs from the Emerald Isle are all about telling and passing along stories and traditions from generations past.

I hope to capture that spirit with my new album, which will include some traditional Irish songs (one sung in Irish Gaelic), Irish-themed songs, as well as a few modern songs written by Irish songwriters, exploring themes such as love and loss, emigration, leaving home to start a new life, and the beauty of nature.

Assisting me in this endeavor is a group of amazing and talented performers that I have had the privilege of knowing or working with in the past. This includes:
  • Dave Curley
  • Colin Farrell
  • Gary O'Driscoll
  • Larry Martin
  • Peter Sheridan
  • Daniel Thompson
  • Danielle Turano
  • Lacy Rostyak
  • Gil Clark
  • John Maschinot
  • Sonny Lallerstedt
  • Brian Adams
  • Paula Grissom-Broughton

Thank you for your consideration!
