Olivia runs for children’s mental health
Do you want to join me in making a difference? I'm raising money in aid of THE FRIENDS OF ST. LUCIA'S SCHOOL and every donation will help. Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me.
Many of us have experienced poor mental health at some point in our lives, especially during and since Covid-19. Through Covid-19 I found my mental health took a real hit as my one trip outside a day was often taken up with ensuring my 4 year old had a decent run around. Simply put, I missed being able to run off the stress in my body and I had no other outlets for it at that time.
Despite being allergic to exercise as a teenager, I have found running to be an incredible help for my mental health and well-being. I’ve become increasingly passionate about helping children (and young people) find ways to talk about their mental health, advocate for their own needs, and discover tools to aid them in a life-long journey of looking after their whole self: body, mind and spirit.
I’ve been so impressed by how my daughter’s school is so keen to ensure children are able to do that and provides such a nurturing environment. I want to raise money for them to aid them in their work supporting children’s mental and physical health and well-being. So, I am taking on a physical and mental challenge in March, The Wilson Run. It’s the oldest school run in the world… one I skived off from when I was at the school, but it’s a feat worth doing.
Just short of 11 miles of mud, steep slopes and crossing rivers. It’s a test of endurance and mental toughness as well as physical strength.
Please help me raise money for our lovely children, and encourage me on my long run.
