Grief Relief for Olivia

My name is Makenzie Cockrell and I am raising funds for my best friend Olivia Boroughs.

On the night of Wednesday November 1st, Lisa K Barrett (Olivia’s Mother) tragically passed away.

If you knew Lisa or Olivia, you may also know that in September of 2020, they suffered the devastating loss of Olivia’s sister (Lisa’s daughter), Jessica De La Garza just shy of her 30th birthday.

The losses that this family has suffered in the last few years have been more than most people could ever even imagine. I have watched the grief that my best friend has been through in the last 3 years, and the way she has stayed resilient in raising her son and building her family and life through it all. Now with the passing of her mother and being Lisa’s only living child, so much of this burden falls solely on her shoulders.

Olivia has an amazing community of people surrounding her and pouring her endless amounts of love and I’d love to extend that even further if we could. I’d like to raise funds for Olivia to help take care of some daily and new expenses that come along with such a tragedy.

All money raised will go directly to Olivia and her family to help wherever it may be needed, including gas, food, bills, and any funeral expenses that need to be covered.

I truly would love to thank anyone who chooses to donate or help Lisa’s family in any way from the bottom of my heart, and I extend my deepest condolences to every and anyone who Lisa’s passing has effected. Her big heart and unforgettable soul will always be so loved and cherished.
