Olivia's Ice Dancing Dream

My name is Olivia McIsaac and I am a 15-year-old competitive ice dancer. I began figure skating at the age of 2 and I fell in love with it the moment I stepped on the ice. I competed competitively in the singles category for the past 8 years and 2 years ago I decided that I wanted to try ice dance. Ever since I began ice dancing, I knew that I wanted to do whatever it would take to follow my dream of skating for Canada internationally and at the winter Olympic games. I recently began skating with a new partner (Elliott Graham) which means that I will need to move away from my home in Burlington, Ontario to Barrie, Ontario. Elliot and I have set our goal for this season to compete internationally for Canada in junior ice dance, and we hope to one day have the opportunity to represent our country at the winter Olympics. The steps we must take to accomplish this goal are extremely costly. Some fees include boarding, coaching lessons, choreography, costumes, travel, ice time, equipment and off ice dance and training. I am currently seeking funding and or sponsorship to help me follow my dream on the road to the Olympics. I am so grateful for any contributions/sponsorship big or small, as it will help offset some of my family's financial strain. Thank you so much for taking the time to read my story.
