Olivia's Journey to Peru - Camps International.

Hi, my name is Olivia, I am 14 years old and I am in Year 10 at Tanfield School in County Durham.

Through my school and Camps International I am so excited to have been offered a place to visit Peru on a 4 week expedition in July 2026.

And here starts my fundraising journey...All students are required to raise the funds to cover the cost of the expedition and any kit needed, which will be around £5000 in total.

This once in a lifetime opportunity will hopefully see me living and working alongside rural communities in the Sacred Valley area of Peru. We will be working on initiatives that aim to make a measureable difference in some of the poorest regions and addressing critical issues like health, education, environment and wildlife. Some of the projects will include installing clean water access, building new classrooms and safe homes for vulnerable families. As well as supporting local employment, we will be assisting in maintaining essential sustainability for the families and future generations.

Not only is this an exciting opportunity for me, it will also be a massive personal challenge. I am so excited to be going on this adventure and can't wait to make a difference in Peru!
