Support Olivia's Journey to Restore Her Documents

Hi! My name is Olivia and I'm a naturalized American citizen. My family is from El Salvador and I was born in Canada. In 2014, I lost almost every proof of my identity during a divorce. My husband claimed he never found the box of my naturalization and passport documents when I filed for them, and ever since, I have been in an uphill battle to ensure I am properly identifiable and a little more deportation-proof (not that any of us truly are since due process appears to no longer be a thing).

The cost of getting a new certificate of naturalization alone is $505, with a waiver no longer being submittable on the USCIS website. This does not include the cost of getting a new Canadian or American passport, or obtaining my Real ID once I get my proof of naturalization.

I am working with a local attorney to try and get this all started before May 1, 2025, when the Real ID deadline hits in Oregon and when I may no longer even be able to travel between states or visit my aging parents.

I promised myself I would do this earlier, but having been unemployed, temping sporadically, and seeking work, I have struggled to even make rent, much less re-establish my documentation in the past several years.

Any help to make it to my goal and get my documentation in order would mean a lot to keeping me housed, employable, and hopefully not deported.
