Dear Spartan Family,
As the state of Illinois has been allowed to move into phase 4. Optimism that there will be a 2020 football season is continuing to rise! I cannot speak for everyone, but seeing those lights turned on for the 1st friday night game gives me chills.. Thanks to your generosity last season we were able to purchase: New Home and Away Varsity Uniforms, new sled pads, 10 team camp scholarships, 140 meals for players who couldn't otherwise afford to pay. Furthermore, the growth of our program has been amazing. Two years ago when we first started this fundraiser we only had 30 kids in our program. This fall our numbers are going to be in the mid 60’s, including nearly 30 Freshman football players. This summer and fall we are looking forward to building upon that growth, refining our skills, increasing our football knowledge, all while helping mold young men into productive members of our community.
However, our program is still in need! The following items are truly necessities for the upcoming season:
Assistance in covering half the cost of new safety equipment for our players ($2000)
A 5 man blocking sled ($4,000)
Hudl Assist and Gamestrat software ($2000)
Money to cover the cost of game day meals for families in need ($1000)
Cover costs for volunteer assistant coaches ($1000)
Unfortunately, this equipment costs significantly more money that we have in our budget. In addition, funds will also be used to reduce cost for summer activities for student-athletes, cover professional development costs for coaches, and help make football accessible to all families within the district.
Unlike many other fundraisers, every dollar earned from this project goes straight back into Olympia football. While we know that these are unique and challenging times, I believe this is the perfect opportunity to help support those who need help. In the chart below we have listed different levels of giving. However, please feel free to give any amount you chose. Every Dollar Helps. Thank you for your consideration in helping us become THE elite program in central Illinois.
