Olympic Trials for Kyle! #Paris2024
Donation protected
Kyle Rollins is ready to jump his way into Olympic history but he needs our help to make that dream a reality!
On Friday, April 28, 2023, a 24 year old high jumper from Groveland, NY captured the attention of the track and field world when he cleared 7’ 4.5” and won the Drake Relays. Kyle Rollins had not competed in a track meet of this magnitude in a number of months, yet his winning jump hit the second highest mark in outdoor track in the US this season. His jump was the fifth highest jump in the world this season as well!
Kyle is now working with USA Olympic coaches and they want him to train with a specialist in Toronto. He also needs to compete in elite-level track and field meets in Arizona, New York City, and possibly Europe this summer. None of that can happen without the support of our great community. He must cover food, travel, and living expenses while working with trainers and private coaches to prepare for the Olympic Trials next Spring/Summer. These costs could easily run upwards of $75,000 or more.
Please help make Kyle's Olympic dreams come true!
Here’s more of Kyle’s inspiring back story:
Kyle Rollins grew up in Groveland, New York in a family with five children and two hard-working parents. He attended Geneseo Central School where he quickly became known for his athletic prowess in soccer, basketball and track and field. In 2017, he won the NYS championship in the pentathlon and was recognized as a High School All-American. Kyle also attained the highest rank in Boy Scouts, and some might say that his dedication to becoming an Eagle Scout is a direct reflection of his determination to achieve success in everything he sets out to do.
Kyle chose St. John Fisher, a Division 3 school in Upstate New York for college. While pursuing a degree in Sustainability, minoring in Biology, Kyle became the most decorated athlete in the college’s history, becoming a 4x NCAA High Jump Champion and 12x All-American. He was named National Field Athlete of the Year, Regional Field Ahtlete of the Year, Conference Field Athlete of the Year, Conference Rookie of the Year and was nominated as Team Captain. Since graduating in 2022, Kyle has trained on his own and dedicated himself to coaching jumpers on the SUNY Geneseo Track team.
Now he is ready to take his athletic career to the next level and compete at the Olympic Games. Kyle needs to focus on his training without worrying about the financial stressors that come with being an unsponsored athlete. From travel expenses to equipment costs, training fees, and competition fees, the costs of being an Olympic hopeful will add up quickly.
That’s why we are asking for your support to help Kyle on this extraordinary journey which could take him to Paris in 2024. Kyle is anxious to show the world how high he can soar! Please jump on so Kyle can jump high!
