Help Ishmael Eradicate Cancer

June 2014 my husband, Ishamel was diagnosed with aggressive stage 4 prostate cancer. On October 8, 2014, he had a radical prostatectomy, (removal of his prostate). Couple weeks later his PSA level was tested and it was elevated, medication was prescribed by his doctor.
December 2014, a CAT Scan and Bone Scan was administered and a spot was detected in his upper back. It was recommended that he start radiation therapy as soon as possible.
On January 3, 2015, he started radiation therapy- once a day for a month. After 2 weeks of radiation a MRI was administered, metastasis was diagnosed. The cancer cells had broken off from the main tumor and travel throughout his bloodstream and formed a new tumor located in his back bone. Radiation treatments were stopped and hormonal therapy (hormone injection) was recommended. Hormone treatment is used if prostate cancer has spread outside the prostate. The purpose is to delay the progression of the metastatic cancer and to increase survival while maximizing quality of life. It does not cure cancer.
Lupron (hormone injection), was administered for the first time on March 13, 2015 and will be administered every 4 months for the rest of my life. These injections are very costly.
It has been a rough 5 months for Ishmael. He has been undergoing his treatments and has a long road ahead of him. Although he may look great in appearance, this disease is taking a lot out of him, he feels fatigue at times, and is dealing with incontinence & impotence issues and that itself is an emotional battle for him every day.
I had to swallow my pride as for setting up this page but the reality is - we need all the help possible to help us through this financial hurdle. With God's strength and support of our loved ones we'll get through this !
We pray and have faith that this treatment will be successful and he will be able to live a normal life. However, the cost of his medical expenses (scans, x-rays, urine cultures, doctor's visits, medications, etc.), travel expenses (when traveling to his doctor in Tallahassee, FL) while receiving treatment is a challenge for us.
I’m asking for any donation that you can make towards his expenses while he receives his treatments. Your donations will be greatly appreciated and will be used solely to pay for his expenses due to his cancer. No donation is too small and will not go unnotice.
