Hi I am fundraising on behalf of Syd Bogan & her ongoing care that will likely include home care, therapy, & mounting medical costs. Val has been unable to work during this time and will most likely be out for months. Sydney will likely be in the hospital another month and have a long road to rehabilitation.

~On December 30 Syd was taken to the ER as she was behaving very oddly when she got up. She was diagnosed with Graves Disease. She came home that night with mom and for several days we saw her behavior decline to the point we had to be by her side 24/7. On Jan 2, we just couldn’t do it anymore and went to Children’s Hospital ER. Within hours they admitted her to the neuro floor. Within days they had a preliminary additional diagnosis of autoimmune encephalopathy. Her body was attacking her brain. In her good moments Syd is winning the hearts of everyone she meets with her songs and silly stories. In her not so good moments she is terrified, sometimes doesn’t even know who we are, thinks she’s being harmed and needs at least 2 people watching her day and night. Please keep lifting my Syd up in prayer and send positive energy her way. She is strong and a fighter, but she needs every bit of help she can get right now.
