They started as high school sweethearts and were separated when Earl's family moved to Canada. He stayed in touch however and as soon as he finished school, Earl came back to Sheilla, got married and they settled back in Canada where they had their two beautiful sons, Gavin & Tyler.
Shortly after Tyler was born, she started feeling unwell and was soon diagnosed with a glioblastoma (brain cancer). She prayed for time so that she would see more of her children grow, accepting her fate as the cancer was aggressive and carried a poor prognosis. All the while, her dear Earl watched and prayed for his wife and best friend as she slowly deteriorated. Sheilla, however, was determined to do everything she could for her friends and family, cooking, cleaning, concerts, trips and spending time with her boys, Earl, Gavin and Tyler.
As fate would have it, Earl tragically died in a car accident on Sunday November 20th and Sheilla died two days later on November 22nd, hours before Tyler's 5th birthday.
Funds raised will go towards the children's education and care needs and are welcome at any time.
I am Sheilla's friend and she was my daughter's Godmother. Many other friends are behind this fund raising too especially, Laarni Hilvano (her best friend) and Crisanta Barba as well as co-workers/friends at Allendale.
